• Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Nicole Chatham and I am an Austin based wedding and portrait photographer and I absolutely love what I do!  This blog will follow both my professional and personal life, featuring images from my latest weddings as well as from my 'between weddings time' so please get comfy and enjoy looking around!  Also, feel free to leave a comment-  I'd love to hear from you!

Daniel and Lori are Engaged!

Daniel and Lori wanted to get some engagement pictures made, but they’re actually eloping to Hawaii for their wedding, so unfortunately, we won’t be joining them. :(  But guess what, folks….I ain’t too proud to beg…..

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take me with you to Hawaii!!!!!  I promise I will take rockin’ pictures and I really can fit into your suitcase!!  I really wanna GOOOOO!!!

(hope that worked)

:)  Here are a few favorites from my evening with them.  The thing I love most about Daniel and Lori is their laughter.  You can tell that they have such a great time together both on and off camera, making my job way easy with their outgoing and fun personalities.  Enjoy!

Jason & Caroline are engaged!

Oh, how I just love this couple!  Jason and Caroline wanted to take their engagement pictures on the Kemah Boardwalk because this is where it all began!  Jason proposed to Caroline one unexpected evening right here on the Boardwalk.  We decided to do a little re-enacting of that magical moment and it was so cute because everyone that was walking by stopped and stared in awe over how adorable they are.  After spending just a couple of hours with them and seeing the chemistry they had on camera already makes me eager to shoot their wedding next year in Austin!

I love the seagull shadow on the image below!

Oh Caroline, stop being so fabulous!

Jason and Caroline had their first date at the Aquarium so we had to get a picture in front!

David & Jeanette’s Wedding

A couple of months ago I went to Houston to shoot David and Jeanette’s wedding at the beautiful Hotel ZaZa!  I’ve always wanted to shoot  a wedding there and I was certainly not disappointed.  Besides the beautiful location, the lovely bride and groom, and the awesome details, my most favorite part about this wedding had to be all the accents.  David is from England and so is his family, and Jeanette and her family are from Venezuela.  It was so much fun to hear them all talk!  I know, I’m a dork, but I have a thing for accents!  David and Jeanette- I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon!  Enjoy some of my favorites!

I loved Jeanette’s Jimmy Choo shoes!

I also wanted to share with you this AMAZING video from my good friends Ivan and Michele at Grasshopper Productions.  They are one of my favorite videographers and I highly recommend them to all my couples that are looking for one!  Take a look at their teaser from David and Jeanette’s day and watch carefully; you might see me make a cameo appearance once or twice! :)

Scott & Randi’s Wedding!

Scott and Randi were married a few weekends ago in San Antonio and I was so excited that their day finally came.  I knew from the start that this couple was so much fun and their wedding turned out to be a perfect reflection of them!  They incorporated beautiful details, gorgeous venues, and everyone had such a fun night!  I was so lucky to be a part of it!  Enjoy a million trillion of my favorite photos! :)  Congratulations you two!

Scott and Randi chose to do a “first look” and I love the beautiful portraits we got before the ceremony.  It also made the whole evening flow so much more smoothly!

Kendl’s bridals

Hey everyone!  Sorry for the brief break in blogging!  I have been out of town shooting weddings for over a month now and am just now getting time to sort through all my images that will be sure to make a debut on the blog.  Hopefully I will keep making progress and get to show off some fabulous weddings and portrait sessions soon!  Kendl made my job a little difficult because I had SO many favorites from her bridal session to choose from!  She was such a beautiful bride.  I managed to narrow it down to a few favorites.

Kendl’s nieces (identical twins!) came along for the ride and we couldn’t help but take a couple with them!  Aren’t they adorable?
